Actual (39 weeks) salary: \u00a319,500- \u00a324,000<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond appropriately to disclosures of abuse or other concerns which relate to the well-being of a child, in line with local and national procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Have oversight of a caseload of students and be responsible for responding to their complex and unique safeguarding needs, acting as a consistent point of contact.<\/li>\n<li>Where appropriate, refer concerns to the Local Authority Children\u2019s Social Care or to other appropriate agencies (e.g., Police, CAMHS) and ensure that all concerns are acted upon promptly and effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain detailed, accurate, robust and secure written records in relation to welfare concerns and referrals, ensuring adherence to GDPR and data protection regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Support and Collaboration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Offer safeguarding support and advice to staff and associates to manage situations that arise, providing clarity on reporting mechanisms and next steps.<\/li>\n<li>To lead Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings where appropriate or be a dedicated participant on behalf of the provision, ensuring the student&#8217;s voice and AP context are represented.<\/li>\n<li>Attend relevant multi-agency safeguarding meetings (e.g., Child Protection Conferences, Core Group Meetings) and share information and provide a view on next steps to secure positive outcomes for the student.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and develop collaborative working with allied health and social care practitioners from children\u2019s and adults\u2019 services to create integrated support packages.<\/li>\n<li>Support families\/carers in person and virtually, offering sensitive advice and guidance on navigating support services.<\/li>\n<li>To support the enhanced offer by helping families to access local and national services and interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Policy, Training, and Culture<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To work autonomously within this alternative education setting, confidently working alongside and advising education colleagues on safeguarding matters.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the importance of information sharing, both within the provision and with the three safeguarding partners (Local Authority, Police, NHS), other agencies, organisations, and practitioners.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage a culture of listening to children and taking into account their wishes and feelings, among all staff\/associates in any measures the provision may put in place to protect them.<\/li>\n<li>To support with CPD and training relating to safeguarding and other welfare areas, ensuring all staff receive timely and relevant updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Safeguarding Commitment<\/h3>\n<p>We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
