Why become a SEND tutor?
Join us at SENse Learning and become part of a culture that not only values expertise but celebrates the profound impact we can make as a community. Together, we're transforming alternative education and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
A culture that makes SENse
Our culture is built on a foundation of unwavering commitment to every child's educational journey. We've cultivated a vibrant community of like-minded case leads, specialist teachers, education mentors and staff, who share our passion for empowering students through holistic, relationship-based support.
Every voice matters
Here, every voice matters, and every contribution is valued. We listen intently to our team, recognising that their insights and experiences are essential to our collective success.
We celebrate diversity
Our diverse team of specialist educational professionals each bring a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. From seasoned educators to innovative thinkers, we unite under one mission: to provide tailored support that meets the individual needs of every student.
Building strong relationships
Our approach is grounded in the fundamental principles of relationship building and creative interest-based learning. It’s delivered through effective teaching, bringing us back to the grassroots of education. Through personalised, one-to-one interactions, we foster meaningful connections that inspire growth and learning.
We’re clear about the benefits when you work with us

Different associate roles at SENse Learning
Case leads
Our case leads oversee the bespoke packages of provision for our young people. They make sure each student has appropriate targets, manage the direct teaching team and work closely with parents/carers and other professionals involved in a young person’s education and care.
Specialist teachers
Specialist teachers plan for, and deliver, creative packages to our young people, which cover social, emotional and academic elements. They go into the homes and work 1:1 with young people as well as taking learning out into the community when the young person feels ready. It’s really rewarding teaching, where you are making a real difference.
Education mentors
Education mentors support our young people with life skills and community engagement through creative approaches. They also deliver (but do not plan for) creative academic learning. Similarly to our specialist teachers, our education mentors work in the home and out in the community, supporting young people where they feel safe and secure.
