Pathways Manager

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time

Role Type: Permanent | Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Location: Remote – Head Office is based in West Sussex, some in person Head Office days will be required but this can be discussed.

What’s the role?

As our Pathways Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our Pathways, Exams, and Clubs teams. Sitting on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will balance strategic vision with operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of our academic, holistic (WILL), qualifications (NCFE), and extra-curricular offers.
  • Provide strong, supportive line management to 4 Pathway Leads, an Exams Coordinator, and a Pathway Assistant through regular appraisals, mentoring, and line management.
  • Monitor, assess, and refine policies, procedures, and delivery across curriculum, assessment, and qualifications.
  • Partner effectively with HR, Safeguarding, and Business Development teams (including supporting local authority meetings).
  • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), driving a robust culture of care and student welfare across the organization.
  • SLT Leadership: Work collaboratively with fellow senior leaders to manage day-to-day business operations, problem-solve, and drive organizational strategy.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a confident, highly organized, and inspiring leader with Qualified Teacher Status and extensive experience in SEN settings.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and DSL certification.
  • Proven experience in high-level leadership roles and strategic planning within SEN environments.
  • A thorough, practical understanding of a wide range of additional needs and complex behaviors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a priority-based, solution-focused approach.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent and promote the SENse Learning ethos to external stakeholders.
  • Strong ICT literacy (Microsoft Office, GSuite, and adaptability to new systems).
  • A valid, clean UK driver’s licence.
  • An unwavering commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
