What ASEND Tuition Is

We are looking for inspirational tutors to support children and young people with SEND in Barnet. We support pupils with SEND who are not attending school for a number of reasons including Mental Health issues, or lack of a suitable school place. We aim to prepare them for a return to mainstream or special school.

Working hours: 3 hours per day, 3 days per week (during school hours)

About the Role

We are looking for a tutor to support a 14-year-old boy with social, emotional and mental health needs in Barnet. Our pupil experiences low self-esteem, low mood, and anxiety relating to school. He needs some support in re-engaging with his education and help with managing his anxiety. Our pupil is a very creative young person who has a keen interest in art and would like to travel.

The ideal tutor would be someone who is patient and caring and can really make a difference in boosting our pupil’s confidence. A tutor who has experience working with pupils who have dyslexia would also be beneficial. A tutor who is also able to help with building social skills would be essential.

If you think this is not the right role for you, do still apply as we are always on the lookout for people with different expertise to work with our pupils in various locations.
